Gesundaberget

Family skiing with Michelin Green Guide-rated views

Skiing with a View

Rising 514 meters above Lake Siljan on its western shore, Gesundaberget offers something rare: a ski resort where the view is as memorable as the skiing itself.

The panoramic vista from the summit — across the frozen lake, the island of Sollerön, and the surrounding Dalarna landscape — has earned a place in the Michelin Green Guide. It's a view that makes every chairlift ride feel special.

Perfect for Families

With 10 slopes and 4 lifts serving a 270-meter vertical drop, Gesundaberget is sized just right for families. The popular "Långrundan" is an 1,800-meter green piste that winds gently from summit to base — perfect for building confidence. More experienced skiers will find challenging runs too, and the natural terrain offers fun off-piste opportunities.

More Than Skiing

Gesundaberget is also a fantastic hiking destination in summer. Multiple marked trails lead to the summit, where you can enjoy the same stunning views without the snow. The mountain's geology tells the story of the Siljan meteorite impact 380 million years ago — shatter cones and other evidence can be found in the red granite bedrock.

Tomteland Connection

At the foot of Gesundaberget lies Tomteland (Santaworld), making it easy to combine a day of skiing with a visit to Santa's village. It's a perfect winter family day out!
