Food & Dining
Homemade meals and Swedish hospitality
Homemade Breakfast
Every morning at Muntergården begins with a lovingly prepared breakfast. Bread from the local sourdough bakery Leve Bröd. Eggs from our own chickens. Bacon from Mora Salt och Rökning. Our own Muntersgröt — oat porridge with nuts, served with homemade jam from garden berries. We accommodate dietary requirements with advance notice — just let us know your needs when booking.
Local Flavors
We take pride in sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible. Dalarna has a rich food tradition, and we love sharing regional specialties with our guests. From fresh berries picked in our garden to traditional Swedish recipes, every meal tells a story. Photo of Saffransbullar — a Swedish sweet pastry typically served in December. Here, Karolina is baking using her secret ingredient: love.
Outdoor Dining
There's nothing quite like dining al fresco in the Swedish summer. Our garden features several dining areas perfect for enjoying breakfast, a leisurely lunch, or a BBQ dinner under the long Nordic evening light. We often are found doing BBQ in the garden and are not shy about inviting our guests to join in on the meal.
Kitchen Access
While we serve breakfast, guests also have access to our fully equipped kitchen between meals. Whether you want to prepare a snack, store provisions, or cook a simple meal, the kitchen is available. Just check with your hosts about timing.
